Reported from the site https://www.cedarvalleywest.org/ , Cedar Valley West Association for Education and Economic Development is a partnership between four school districts providing services in our region.
- Connecting students to career opportunities helping them make informed educational and career decisions.
- Promote our region as viable communities providing an outstanding quality of life with extraordinary career opportunities.
One of the best ways for teenagers to learn about the workforce is through hands on learning activities like job shadows and career internships. We want to work together to provide awareness to students about the local opportunities they have before them.
Together we will provide career education and foster positive professional relationships between students and business while retaining our young professionals and promoting our region as a choice of residency.
The work based learning portion of the CVW program is specifically designed to prepare and connect our students to the local job market and allow businesses to connect with students: our future skills work force.
